Launches
The crew were assembled after the Coastguard requested that they investigate a dinghy reported to be drifting between the castles. A search of the area failed to locate the dinghy and a member of the public reported that another vessel had retrieved it and tied it to the South Embankment. The crew recognised it as belonging to the Nicki V. The owner was located ashore by the Coastguard. The dinghy had apparently been drifting for several hours. The lifeboat crew returned it to its usual mooring outside the Boat Float. Lifeboat crew; Buster Hart helmsman, with Lee Darch & Mark Conroy Launch crew; Jim Brent tractor driver with Ewen Menzies & Yorkie Lomas
