The National Coastwatch team at Froward Point reported that a dinghy with 3 adults and 2 children on board was having difficulty leaving Newfoundland Cove due to the onshore wind and their engine would not start. The inshore lifeboat was tasked to attend by the Coast Guard. On arrival another vessel had towed the dinghy into a clear wind and no further assistance was reqired. On their way to this task the crew were flagged down by the yacht Seahorse who were requesting assistance. The skipper of the yacht had a gashed hand and his crew was seasick. They requested help lowering the sails and geting ashore. The yacht had been temporarily anchored near Stumpy Steps at Dartmouth Casle. Two lifeboat crew were put aboard and they lowered the sails and assessed the state of the crew. They assisted in taking the yacht under her own power to the Visitors pontoon at Dartmouth Yacht Club.
