Location: Upstream search of River Dart.

A relative of two canoeists on holiday raised the alarm when they were overdue. They had left Dartmouth at 11am in a Canadian canoe and not returned by 8pm. The Coastguard asked the ILB to search the river. They were located onshore at Dittisham safe and well. The ILB brought the canoe back to Dartmouth and the mobile Coastguard team brought back the canoeists.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
