The Brixham Coastguard co-ordinated a search by mobile Coastguard teams from Dartmouth and Prawle along with the Dart inshore lifeboat volunteers. The lifeboat crew searched as far into Old Mill creek as they could due to the state of the tide before searching the river bank up as far as the Ham at Dittisham. The casualty was found in Old Mill woods by the mobile Coastguard team and they arranged transfer to Torbay Hospital.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
