Red distress flare upriver

Launch No: 299
Craft: Spirit of the Dart. D-702
Friday, 28 July 2017
Location: Upriver near Ashprington

A red flare had been sighted in the Ashprington area and the Falmouth Coastguard tasked the Dart RNLI lifeboat to investigate. The spring tide was at its lowest during the night search making navigation a test. Nothing abnormal was seen on either bank and the moored vessels in the river showed no signs of having a problem. No Royal Marine activity had been logged by the Coastguard.
