A man was reported to be in the water at Vire Island, Totnes and the Coastguard requested the Dart ILB to launch. The man was recovered by the Police four minutes after the lifeboat launched and the crew were stood down. Lifeboat crew. Buster Hart, helmsman. Yorkie Lomas and Kevin John crew. Launch crew; Peter Callis, tractor driver.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
