Location: Foot of cliffs, Little Dartmouth. Start Bay.

The Coastguard requested that the ILB assist the Dartmouth Mobile Coastguard team in retrieving a Jack Russel Terrier that had fallen in the sea from the cliffs. The dog had managed to wedge himself between the rocks on the shore. He was released by the lifeboat crew and handed over to the Coastguard team who absceiled back up the cliff to return him to his grateful owner. (The story was featured on a local radio station in London and subsequently in the Sun newspaper)

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
