Engine fails to start on yacht anchored in Dart Es

Location: Off Kingswear Castle, Dart Estuary.

A 23ft yacht on passage from Salcombe had dropped anchor in the Dart estuary off Kingswear castle. Their engine failed to start and they requested assistance reaching a berth in Dartmouth. She was towed to the Town Pontoon where they were met by the mobile Coastguard team.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
